The first week in March is a special week for children’s literacy,¬†with both World Book Day and Dr Seuss Day taking place. Children up and down the country celebrate some of the worlds best loved children’s authors with dress up and fun reading related activities. As a self confessed book lover, I love celebrating literature and reading. As a child, I loved nothing more than getting lost in a good book, and I’m thankful that my children have developed a love of reading too. My 2017 Reading Challenge

In 2016 I joined in with the Goodreads Rading challenge. I challenged myself to read 52 books over the year, amounting to one book a week. Did I do it? No, I managed a measly ten. I’m taking part in the 2017 reading challenge this year, and you may think that I’d adjust my goals accordingly, but I’m not. Again, I’ve challenged myself to read 52 books. Our Favourite Children's Books

Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know that it is World Book Day this Thursday. Across the country parents are trying desperately to make/ buy appropriate costumes (Elsa definitely counts, right? I mean, there were books written about the movie surely?!) and bizarrely turn muddy spuds in to favourite book characters.
