My Happiness List #1

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about what makes me happy. I admit, sometimes I let my stresses get the better of me and I can be a little bit snappy, but that doesn’t mean I do not appreciate the wonderful things I have in my life. I would consider myself to be quite a stressy person, I always have been but in recent weeks I’ve been trying to find ways to reduce those stress levels and try to become a happier person. I have even found myself googling ‘how to meditate’ which a few years ago I would have […]

Turning 30 – My 30 Before 30 Bucket List

In August I turned 28, and it really hit home that I’m approaching the big 30! Honestly, I still feel like I’m 21. I know, everyone says that, but most of the time for me it’s true. My first child was born when I was 21, and I’ve been so busy caring for my little humans for the last 7 years that I have kind of forgotten that I’ve aged. Brave The Shave – One Month On!

It has been just over a month since I shaved off all of my hair for charity, so I thought I would do a little update on how I’ve been getting on. It has been strange having no hair, and I’ve found myself going through different stages of acceptance. My shave day was obviously a real high. I live streamed my shave on Periscope, and I got an amazing amount of support. I ended the stream feeling fantastic, and posed for lots of photos, absolutely beaming from ear to ear. I was so proud of myself, proud of the money […]

How I’m Feeling About Shaving My Hair

Less than 48 hours to go until I shave my hair. I have to admit, I’m absolutely terrified. It seems like such a long time ago that I typed my details in to the Macmillan registration form, my hands shaking and my heart thumping as I hit the enter button. From that moment onwards, I have struggled to think of much else. As is always the way, when you are anticipating something time seems to move at half the speed. I have quite a few feelings buzzing around in my head. Most of them, I feel ashamed to say, are […]

An Anniversary Celebration

On Wednesday my husband and I celebrated our four year wedding anniversary. It certainly doesn’t feel like four years ago, in fact I was convinced we had only been married three years. So convinced in fact, that I had entered it in to the family diary… ‘3 year anniversary’. It was only when we consulted the date tattooed on to my back that I realised it was four years, and not three. It doesn’t feel possible that it was that long ago! We don’t really do date night, or nights out. That kind of thing just isn’t possible when you […]
