Life In Pictures

I’m always taking photos. I absolutely adore my big camera and the beautiful photos I can take with it, but sometimes it’s not practical to carry it around with me. That’s where my iPhone comes in handy. I’m never without my phone, and I love the camera on it, so I never miss an opportunity to get snap happy. My phone is so full of pictures that I often run out of space and have to go through and delete some of the not so good shots. Some of my pictures make it in to posts about things, or get […]

Word of the Week 08-05-15

Who doesn’t love a three day week? A combination of a bank holiday and polling day meant the kids have had an extra two days off school. Ice-Cream makes you happy

There is just something so wonderful about ice-cream, isn’t there? It has the ability to evoke happy memories with just one little lick. Why Having a Pet is Good For Your Children

When I was a child I grew up with dogs in the house. In fact, I didn’t know life without pets because when I was born my mam already had two dogs, and that’s the way it was until I left home. I got my first puppy when I was quite young. I can remember the buzz of the bus journey to the pet shop, and I thought I was going to die with excitement as I looked at me soon to be new puppy through the glass. She was so tiny, and my heart melted when she curled up […]

The School Trip Meltdown

It has been a tough few days for my wee man. Last week, a letter came home in Neil’s bag saying that his class would be going on a trip to a farm. He phoned me while I was at work, and very excitedly told me all about it, instructing me to bring him home some money so he could pay for it. Wednesday quickly arrived, the morning of his big trip. Before we left for the school bus I set a few rules and gave some safety advice, stay with the group, do as your teacher says, just the […]
