Back to School with Lighter Life Fast

September is one of my favourite months. After a long summer break, it is good to get back in to routine, and start some new ones. Now that the kids are back to school, I have a bit more time to think about myself, and the changes I want to make in my life. One of the changes I’m hoping to make is to my diet. If you’ve been a long time reader of my blog, you will know that I’ve made several attempts at a healthy lifestyle. Well, here I am again, this time hoping to make some permanent […]

HayMax Review – Drug Free Allergy Relief

Anyone who knows me will know I’ve morphed in to a bit of a cat lady recently. I love cats, and so does my daughter Caitlin. ┬áTogether I guess you could say we are cat mad, and if we got our own way we would have a house full of little fur babies. Getting Fit Again

It’s almost summer, the weather is getting warmer and we’ve had our first BBQ of the year. Ok, so it might be freezing today, but I’m calling that a blip. I’ve been going through my wardrobe looking for my summer clothes that were packed away last September, but I realised there might be a bit of a problem. My colourful playsuits, shorts and dresses from last summer are all a size 10, and I most certainly am not. After trying some things on, I soon realised this really was a problem, as I can’t fit in to any of it. […]

Teapigs Matcha Tea Review – Matcha May

In my house there is a running argument over the better drink, tea or coffee. I’m a big coffee drinker, I have been since I got my first sip of a cappuccino when I was about 14. My husband, like almost everyone in Northern Ireland, is a massive tea drinker. When we first moved to Northern Ireland my husband told me I would have to become a tea drinker, because that was just the way over here. I did try, but I just didn’t enjoy it much. I drink plenty of coffee each day. I’m lucky to work in an […]

Week 7 & 8 Roundup / 12 Week Slip in to Summer Challenge

This week it’s the end of week 8 of the 12 week ‘Slip in to Summer’ challenge with DW Fitness. I’m doing a 2 week roundup, because I didn’t get a chance to do a post last week due to illness. The whole house came down with a nasty bug. I felt really rough! A combination of persistent vomiting, and zero appetite meant I ended up losing quite a bit of weight. Almost 6lb gone in one week, and I didn’t feel good for it. I did my weigh in as usual on the Monday morning, as I was finally […]
