My Second Blog Birthday

The 31st of January was a day of celebration in our house. Not only was it my son’s seventh birthday, but my blog birthday too. Blogger Mummy Lauren is now officially two years old! Of course, my son’s birthday was the priority, and so in all of the preparation and celebration, my little blog milestone went by without much thought. I do remember wondering to myself, ‘why did I have to go and start a blog on one of my children’s birthdays’, it is a bit of an awkward time! In reality I know the reason why. I always feel […]

Blank Space – A Bad Case Of Writers Block

When you find yourself googling the phrase ‘how to overcome writers block’, you know you are in trouble. You may, or may not have noticed that I haven’t been around much recently. I’ve been struggling to write anything for almost a month, and my blog is suffering for it. Yes, I’ve posted a few photography posts here and there, but nothing with a substantial amount of writing. What BritMums Live 2015 Taught Me About Myself

I recently attended a blogging conference in London, which was a bit of an eye-opener for me in more ways than one. I’ve come away from the event with a whole new perspective on blogging, and I’ve also learned a lot of things about myself. – I’m a bit crap, socially Ok, so I kinda knew this already, but going to Britmums has made me realise the full extent of my crap-ness. I used to be confident in social situations, I would talk to anyone about anything and had no problems approaching strangers. I think things changed when I moved […]

BritMums Live 2015 & London – My Experiences

Last weekend I made my way from Northern Ireland to London for a two day blogging and social media event, BritMums Live 2015. The event is one of the highlights of the year in a bloggers calendar. It was my first time, both at the event and in London, so I was very nervous and very excited, as I’m sure you can imagine! It was an early start for me, having to leave the house at 4:30 to catch a flight from Belfast to Luton. Knowing I would have to get up at 3:45 to get ready, you would imagine […]
