It’s the last month of the summer and so this months bucket list is all about making the most of the time we have left. Honestly the summer hasn’t been great so far, so I’m hoping August can be the redeemer. The kids have already been off school for five weeks here in Northern Ireland. I feel like we’ve done nothing in that time, which is disappointing. It seems to have gone so fast!
I’m determined to make August the best month of the summer. I want to go places, do things, have fun. I want August to be the month we make awesome summer memories.
I didn’t do a monthly bucket list last month. Since I have no update to give you, I’ll jump right in to this month.
My August Bucket List
- Have a proper day out at least once a week – We really haven’t done much during the holidays yet. I can’t help but feel guilty for not being the most fun mum this summer, so I’m determined to make the rest of the summer break count. We’re going to try and have a big day out each week for the remainder of the holidays.
- Go to the beach – We live so close to the beach, but we’ve not had the chance to go yet this summer. I’m hoping to dig out the buckets and spades for a proper seaside day. Now, if the sun would just come out for a few hours, that would be great!
- Get a Mauds Ice-Cream – This will mean nothing to you unless you are from Northern Ireland, so apologies! Basically, Mauds is a Northern Irish Ice-Cream chain which sells the best ice-creams in the country. They have a range of flavours, and they’re all delicious. There is a Mauds ice-cream parlour in a nearby seaside town, but we haven’t had the pleasure of eating from it at all this summer. I want to take the kids down to pic a flavour and we can sit on the promenade and eat it.
- Blog more – Just throwing in a personal one at the end here, but I want to blog more this month. I’m aiming for 20 or more posts throughout August. I’m three days in with three posts done already, so it’s looking promising, I just need to keep at it.
What are your plans for August?
