Babyblooms Promise and Wish Cards Review

Everyone knows what to buy when it comes to the new bundle of joy. Teddy bears, sleepy suits, cute little outfits, there really is so much to choose from. But when it comes to mama, it’s not always such an easy choice.

Pregnancy really is a magical thing, but it can also be pretty tough. Sometimes the new mama to be just needs something to help her feel special. When I was pregnant with my two children, I don’t remember receiving any gifts just for me. But now, with baby showers becoming more of a thing in the UK, it’s much more common to give gifts to mummy too.

A close family member is currently expecting for the first time, which is quite exciting. We’ve bought plenty of gifts for the baby, but have been on the look out for a little something for mum. We were recently introduced to babyblooms.co.uk, which is a website specialising in unique gifts for mum and baby.

We were sent a little parcel containing a set of promise and wish cards. The Promise and Wish cards are a little something to help mama feel special, at a time when baby gets a lot of the focus.

The set arrived in the most beautiful packaging, with each side of the box showing a little village scene. Inside the box, the cards were wrapped in lovely tissue paper. The whole packaging has a real elegant feel about it.

The babyblooms promise and wish cards are a special gift to be given to new and expecting mamas. The box contains 24 beautifully illustrated cards, with 16 promise cards and 8 wish cards. The promise cards allow friends and family to pledge they support, while the wish cards allow mum to ask for a little treat.

Some of the cards come pre filled, with things like ‘I promise to run you a bubble bath’ & ‘I wish for a lie in’. Others are left blank to be filled in appropriately. This allows the cards to be truly personalised.

The packaging is gorgeous and the cards are pretty too. They feel well made too, which is great. I know when I was pregnant I would have been happy to receive these. While I know most friends and family pitch in when a baby is born, the cards are still a sweet little idea, and I think they would make a lovely little pregnancy gift.

The babyblooms Promise and Wish Cards are available from babyblooms.co.uk for £10, along with lots of other lovely unique gifts for mum and baby.
